A Rare Fruit in the Hills of Portugal
The caviar lime (Microcitrus australasica), originating from the tropical forests of Australia, found the ideal terroir to thrive in the Portuguese hills. Planted on a south-facing hill with privileged sun exposure, each tree is cared for with artisanal dedication.
Our first harvest, in 2021, revealed balanced and fragrant fruits that surprised us with their quality.
Since then, Lulu Citrus Caviar has been dedicated to producing this exclusive fruit with the utmost respect for nature.

Microcitrus australasica is native to the tropical forests of Australia. Adapted to the Portuguese climate, each fruit retains its unique characteristics and distinct aromatic profile.
Manual Harvesting
Each fruit is harvested and packed by hand between June and February, at the exact point of ripeness. This artisanal care guarantees the preservation of the delicate vesicles that give it the name "caviar".
